Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed that he is among the most popular leaders of all time. His recent show Man vs Wild on Discovery Channel with adventurer-journalist Bear Grylls has created a world record of sorts. Aired last week, the show broke all social media records with people watching it eagerly in over 180 countries. Modi's show, according to Grylls, is the world's most trending televised event. He said this has been vouched officially. The show had a record 3.6 billion impressions on Twitter. This is officially the highest Twitter impressions in the world so far. Till now, the record was being held by Super Bowl, a sporting event organised in the US. It had 3.4 billion impressions on Twitter.
In the Man vs Wild show shot in the Jim Corbett park of Uttaranchal, Modi explored the wilds with Grylls and sailed in a make-shift raft across a fast flowing rivulet in the national park. He shared vignettes from his childhood and his vision for environmental protection and conservation.
