It's like early Diwali for Indians: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the changes made to Goods and Services Tax during the recent GSR Council Meeting as early Diwali. 'Diwali has come early. Thanks to the decisions taken by the GST Council. As promised by us, We studied all the aspects related to GST in the first three months of implementation and took the decisions with consensus,' he told, pointing out GST Council lowered slab on 27 Goods.

Modi opined People are backing the policies due to the trust they have on NDA Government and the intention with which reforms have been implemented. 'People wishes to get benefitted from development. Nobody wants their children to live in poverty. Our Government aims to fight poverty and help people fulfill their dreams,' says PM.

Saying that the people across the World are keen to invest in India since NDA Government was formed in 2014, Modi exuded confidence that this trend would eventually create opportunities for Indians. He claims Centre has been taking measures to increase the standards of farmers. He also promises to offer less interest loans to fishermen to help them buy bigger boats.
