During a rally in Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi didn't hesitate to say Ruling LDF's conduct on the Sabarimala issue is the most shameful behaviour of any party and government. He even accused Congress-led UDF of having double standards citing their comments inside and outside of Parliament doesn't match.

Former Kerala CM Oommen Chandy reacted on PM's remark in this manner: 'It's very unfortunate. We expected a solution from PM'.

Responding on the double standards remark by Modi, He clarified: 'We have a clear stand...we are with the devotees. At the same time, We aren't craving for political mileage from the Sabarimala issue'.

CPI (M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechuri felt comments made by PM Modi on the Sabarimala issue should be treated as contempt of court. 'Elected Government has to implement SC Order, there is no second option. Now, PM himself is finding fault with the implementation of Supreme Court order. BJP and RSS have been violating law. They made Sabarimala into Ayodhya of South India by polarising people on the basis of religion'.
