Alliance Partners of NDA are cutting ties with the BJP one after the other. Shiv Seva and TDP have waged a war against the National Party. Even Punjab's Akali Dal isn't happy with the Modi-led BJP. Usually, Party Leaderships tried their best to maintain good terms with their friends when anti-incumbency is growing. However, Modi seems to be least bothered about the alliance partners.
In Jammu & Kashmir, BJP and PDP-led by Mehbooba Mufti had formed the government. PM Modi described it as a historic moment during the formation of government. But now, BJP ended support to PDP and this resulted the collapse of the Government.
While she was holding a review meeting in Secretariat, Mehbooba Mufti received a phone call from J&K Governor NN Vohra to inform her about the withdrawal of BJP's support to PDP. She was told J&K BJP Chief sent a letter to Governor in this regard and BJP Ministers tendered their resignations.
CM Mehbooba Mufti was stunned to know about the manner in which BJP ended alliance. She wasn't even having prior information about withdrawal of support by BJP. CM, however, told she too will offer her resignation as PDP doesn't have required numbers to continue in power any longer.
Post her resignation, Mehbooba Mufti declared that mission has been accomplished. She claimed unilateral ceasefire, withdrawal of cases against 11000 youths, protecting Article 370, 35(A) and continuation of Special Status for the state are the achievements of BJP-PDP alliance. She, however, refrained from attacking BJP.
