National Anthem skipped, VC bags huge honour!

Indian Science Congress 2017 was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Tirupati on Tuesday. Unfortunately, Organizers failed to include National Anthem is such a prestigious event. Lack of proper co-ordination between the Officials is said to be the reason behind it.

On the other hand, Hyderabad Central University Vice Chancellor P Appa Rao who's been blamed for the suicide of Dalit scholar Rohith Vemula was conferred with the 'Millennium Plaques of Honour' at the Indian Science Congress for his contribution in the field of bio-tech and higher education. He received the award from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This decision kicked up a huge storm. But, Government claims it has no role to play and Indian Science Congress lane decided the awards list.

Appa Rao informed that he is an active member of Programme Advisory Committee on Planet Sciences and Task Force for Biological Agents for Agriculture since a decades.
