Navjot Singh Sidhu follows Pawan Kalyan

Cricketer-turned-Politician Navjot Singh Sidhu Today made it clear he willn't be floating a political party to contest upcoming Assembly polls in Punjab. He is of the view floating a new political outfit would only help the Ruling Party by dividing the anti-incumbency votes. 'We don't want to confuse people of Punjab but wishes to give them clarity on which is the best option to vote,' quotes Sidhu.

In addition, Lack of sufficient time to take the party to the grassroots levels also influenced Sidhu's decision. 'Minimum 2 years is required for a new political party to win Assembly polls. 3 months is too short a time,' he opined.

Sidhu launched Aawaaz-e-Punjab after resigning to Rajya Sabha. He and his wife have recently quit BJP following differences with the party leadership. Sidhu says the forum willn't be converted into a political party. He, however, announced alliance with like-minded parties could be possible for improving the situation in Punjab.

In a way, Sidhu told his fight would be to dethrone Prakash Singh Badal's Government which is in power since 15 years in Punjab. Don't you think Siidhu followed the path shown by Pawan Kalyan?
