The NCP president Sharad Pawar has defended the Maharashtra police department over handling the suicide case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Sharad Pawar said there is no need for a CBI probe into Sushant's death as the Mumbai police are capable of handling the matter.
The Veteran Maharashtra leader also said that he had recently been to Satara where a farmer expressed surprise to him over discussions in media about Rajput's death.
"The farmer said 20 farmers committed suicide in Satara, but it was not even noted by media," Pawar said
"I have known Maharashtra Police and Mumbai Police for 50 years. Have full faith in them. I don't want to go into the allegations. This is not such an important issue," he added.
