Stupendous success of BJP & its Alliance Partners in the 2019 Lok Sabha Polls has been creating a friction among the parties which formed alliance to end Modi rule. The other day, Mayawati made it clear BSP won't have alliance with SP for the upcoming by-elections. And now, NCP decided to end ties with the Congress Party.
In Maharashtra (48 MP Seats), BJP and its ally NCP won 23 and 18 MP Seats in the recent elections. While NCP bagged 4 Seats, Congress could only manage 1 Seat. MIM emerged victorious in 1 seat, Congress backed Independent candidate Navnit Ravi Rana won in Amravati.
BJP and Shiv Sena has already decided to contest in 135 seats each in the upcoming Assembly Polls. Remaining 18 seats in the 288 member house will be offered for other alliance partners.
NCP, on the other hand, decided to end the alliance with Congress and contest alone in the Assembly Polls. Even if they contest jointly, NCP might demand 50 percent of the seats. Is Congress okay with it?
