Indian Government issued confirmation that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose died in an air crash in 1945.
In reply to an RTI Query filed by a Kolkata Resident, The Ministry of Home Affairs disclosed the truth saying Government has come to such a conclusion based on the reports of various probe agencies.
Admirers of Netaji used to believe that Bose lived in disguise as 'Gumnami Baba' after the end of Second World War. However, The Justice Mukherjee Commission made it clear that Bose and Gumnami Baba were two different individuals.
Centre has declassified 37 files related to Subhas Chandra Bose. All the agencies which probes the death of Netaji has come to the conclusion that air crash during World War 2 led to his death.
