It looks like world renowned OTT platform Netflix is hellbent on attracting the Telugu crowd. It has been producing original content in all the South Indian languages for the past couple of months. Apart from that, it has been buying the digital streaming rights on noted films as well.
Now, they have officially announced that 'Bholaa Shankar' will be streaming in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada on Netflix. As we know, it is a remake of 'Vedhalam' and Meher Ramesh is directing it. Keerthy Suresh will be seen as Megastar's sister while Tamannaah is playing the role of the heroine. There are decent expectations on this movie and with 'Waltair Veerayya' doing well at the box office, the buzz instantly increased on Chiru's next movie as well.
Apart from that, Netflix also officially announced that superstar Mahesh Babu's 28th project will be coming on Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam as a post theatrical release. As we know, Trivikram Srinivas is the writer and director of this film while Naga Vamsi is the producer.
Mahesh and Trivikram delivered classics like 'Athadu' and 'Khaleja' previously. Thaman is the music composer for this film. PS Vinod will be cranking the camera while Naveen Nooli is the editor. AS Prakash is the art director for this project which is bankrolled under 'Haarika & Hassine Creations'. The shooting is expected to start after the Sankranti festival.
