IPL: Netizens accuse former player of cheating while bidding!

Update: 2022-02-14 12:40 GMT
The franchises playing the IPL tournament have made the best of the recently held mega auction and added players to their squad. A few players have added good fortunes as they were bought for a good price. However, a bid made by a team was in the news since the auction.

Three teams fought for England player Jofra Archer and in the end, Mumbai Indians had won the bid and bought him for Rs 8 crores. However, Archer getting the fat cheque had attracted good attention from one and all.

Amid shock over Archer getting good pay, a viral video on social media shows that former Sri Lanka player and RR head coach Kumar Sangakkara reportedly asked the fellow teams to bid a high price for Archer.

The netizens believe that the Sri Lankan payer had done this purposefully as the limit the RR team has for the bidding is over. To see that Mumbai Indians won't bid for Archer, Sangakkara hinted to the other bidders to increase the amount, the netizens believe.

What's even more surprising is that Jofra Archer is not likely to play the tournament as he is still recovering from his health issues. After sustaining injuries he underwent surgeries and is under-recovery.
