Given the prevailing situations, Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) suspended some exams and announced the results of class 10 and 12. The results were based on the average of the first three exams.
CBSE was forced to take the decision as the situation in India reached an alarming level with the rapid growth of the pandemic cases. The pass percentage of the students of class 12, increased to 88.78 percent which was 83.40 percent last year.
This year a total of 3,096,771 students gave their board exams for this academic year but some exams were canceled and the results were declared. The total pass percentage this year stood at 91.46.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Microblogging site Twitter r and congratulated the students for the results. He said one exam cannot define the students and wished them with future endeavors.
He went on to say that the students are blessed with talent and urged them not to lose hope and said they can do wonders.
