New Andhra Pradesh High Court Chief Justice takes oath

It is known that the Chief Justices of the High Courts in many states were transferred after the Supreme Court Collegium recommended the transfer of Judges on the 14th of December.

Justice Arup Goswami, who was transferred to the Andhra Pradesh High Court sworn in as the new Chief Justice of the High Court on Wednesday. The event was held at Vijayawada Tummalapalli Kalakshetra.

Andhra Pradesh Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan administered the oath of the new Chief Justice. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, several judges, MPs, MLAs have attended the event.

Arup Goswami started his career as a lawyer in 1985. Later he has served as temporary Chief Justice of the Guwahati High Court and as the Chief Justice of the Sikkim High Court in 2019.
