UK's New Visa Curbs a huge blow to Indians

Update: 2017-04-04 17:01 GMT
Seems like, Many Countries have been taking US President Donald Trump as an inspiration for encouraging local talent with stringent Immigration Laws. After Malaysia and Singapore, Even UK is heading in the same direction.

The new Visa restrictions introduced by Britain will come into effect from April 6th this years. Hefty taxes will be laid on people from India and other Non-European Union Nations in the form of Immigration Skills Charge, Higher Salary Thresholds and Health Surcharge. The fund collected in this form will be invested in training British Nationals.

New rules will apply to Intra-Company Transfer (ICT) Visas. Ending Tier 2 (ICT) Short Term Category indicates that all ICT Professionals (exempting graduate trainees) need to be qualified with a salary threshold of 41,500 pounds. Where as, Salary Threshold of ICT Long Term Staff Category has been reduced to 120,000 from 155,330 pounds. A health surcharge of 200 pounds will be collected from each of Indians and people of Non-EU Nations. This move by Britain is an attempt to reduce dependence on all non-EU Nations.

UK might apply the same curbs to the European Union Nations as well in the near future. All these were seen as the after affects of Brexit!
