Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman addressed the nation to give details on Rs 20 lakh crore economical package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday night in his speech.
In her media briefing, the Finance Minister said how the Centre will be spending the stimulus package which translates to 10% of India's GDP.
Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Government altered the definition of MSMEs and changed the definition to allow growth and announced Rs 3 lakh crores collateral-free automatic loans for business, including micro, small and medium enterprise (MSMEs).
She also mentioned about the EPF establishments and announced Rs 2500 crore relief for teh establishments which will benefit 3.67 lakh establishments and 72.22 lakh, employees.
The Finance Minister went on to say that, these are the first details of the economic package, and more details on the package will be provided on a daily basis.
