The ongoing pandemic continues to ring danger bells in the country as the positive cases are increasing day by day as the total infections in the country zoomed to 9,06,752.
In the past 24 hours, 28,498 fresh infections were reported which marks the highest surge in single-day cases in the country so far. India straight away reported over 20,000 cases for the sixth consecutive day.
The data released by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) states that as many as 2,86,247 samples were tested on Monday alone and as of 13th of July a mammoth 1,20,92,503 samples were tested for the virus.
However, the claims made by NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant hinted at worst situations if the same situations continue to prevail. He said that two states in India, Telangana, and Bihar are carrying out a less number of pandemic tests when compared to other states.
He went on to say that, carrying out a fewer number of tests to detect the infections in the patients will result in the worst effect in the coming days.
