No cabinet reshuffle for now?

Update: 2021-04-29 03:19 GMT
Is the much-touted move to rejig the cabinet a distant dream in AP? Is Jagan planning to go ahead with the same team for the coming two-and-a-half years? If there is no cabinet reshuffle, what will happen to all those who are aspiring to become ministers?

When he formed the government with an unprecedented majority in 2019, Jagan cleverly opted for social engineering in the cabinet formation. But, this has left many ministry aspirants unhappy. To placate them, Jagan had told them that there would be a cabinet rejig by  2021-end. So, many ministry-aspirants bided their time.

But now, Jagan is said to be having second thoughts. He is said to be of the opinion that a rejig could give rise to dissensions and dissidence in the party. Even in districts, the party would be riven by groupism. The disgruntled elements might get in touch with the BJP. What more, those denied a ministry could become inactive.

For instance, YS family loyalists Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Mopidevi Venkata Ramana were dropped from the ministry and sent to Rajya Sabha when there was a proposal to abrogate the legislative council. Both the leaders are now completely marginalized as they do not have any power. So, both the loyalists have become inactive.

Hence Jagan reportedly is thinking against reshuffling the cabinet and inducting new faces. He is said to be of the opinion that it is better to continue with the existing team of ministers. Let's wait and see how things unfold.
