Following the spread of the dreaded virus, SSC exams in Telangana were canceled and students were promoted without conducting any exams. Now the  Degree exams will also be canceled likely.

To take a call on this, Telangana Education Minister Sabita Indra Reddy chaired a meeting with the key officials of the Telangana Council of higher education and reportedly they opted to do away with the exams.

It is believed that first and second-year students will be promoted to the next year without having to appear for the examinations and the final year students will be passed based on their marks in the semester exams and internals.

The meeting chaired by Sabita Indra Reddy is having talks keeping the conventional degree course in mind. Once they take any call on this, the same option will also be extended to other professional courses.

If the information given close circles is to be believed, UGC has also discussed the engineering exams of Osmania University and JNTU. The Education Minister also sought suggestions from the officials in this regard.

They have also discussed starting classes for the Degree students. Reportedly first-year classes will be starred from September 1st, while  Second Year and Third Year classes will be held from August 15th. However, classes will be held once CM KCR gives his nod on this.
