AP CM Chandrababu Naidu keeps on giving wonderful statements that he is working hard round the clock for the development of Andhra Pradesh.. he is visiting several countries for bringing investments.. he will not sleep unless he makes Amaravati a world-class capital city.
Similarly, Chandrababu & Co has been claiming that they are taking up Metro Rail project.. sometimes they say that it is Light Metro Rail project. YCP MP Vijaya Sai Reddy wanted to know that reality behind the project and he asked about it in the Rajya Sabha. With his question, the startling truth came out regarding Amaravati Metro project. Central government clarified that they don't have any proposals for Amaravati Metro or even Light Metro Rail. With the clarification, Chandrababu & Co's metro drama busted.
The central minister for Housing & Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh gave written clarification that they don't have any proposals for Metro Rail or Light Metro Rail in Amaravati. It is really funny that TDP leaders are expressing their dissatisfaction that Metro Rail is not coming to Amaravati. Now, doubts are raising on the TDP that how can Central Government give a green signal to the Metro Rail project without proposals?
On the other hand, Vijay Sai Reddy raised another question on the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana(PMMVY). While answering the question, Deputy Minister for Women & Child Development Veerendra Kumar revealed that the implementation is nominal in Andhra Pradesh. He said that 50,831 pregnant and postpartum women in Maharashtra benefited through this scheme and it is highest benefited state through this programme. When it comes to Andhra Pradesh only 2,352 women have been benefited from this programme. The central government disburses Rs.5,000 each in three installments to the pregnant and postpartum women for their health.
