The election commission has made all the arrangements to conduct the Municipal elections freely. The Election Commission has decided to check the voter votes in the elections and this time face recognition cameras will be used in polling stations. The election has already discussed with all the authorities on the feasibility of fieldwork.
Collecter Ayesha Masrath Khanam said that all the arrangements are completed for the 22nd January Municipal elections, an officer has been appointed for every three wards, Voter sli[p with photo will be distributed by BLVO. Police have identified 52 problematic polling stations. The election day will be declared a holiday as everyone should use their vote right.
Polling in municipalities and municipal corporations will be held on January 22 and results will be declared on January 25, elections for the posts of 2727 ward members in 120 municipalities and 385 posts of councillors in the nine municipal corporations.
