Keeping in mind the rise of the positive cases of COVID 19 in India, the existing lockdown which was supposed to be lifted on the 3rd of May got extended by the 17 of May.
This marks the third phase of the lockdown giving some relaxations for the green and orange zones leaving the red zones. Till now, the positive cases of COVID 19 in India surpassed the 42,000 mark.
Joint Secretary in the Health Ministry Lav Agarwal called for a press meet and said that permission will not be given access to travel between the states and rickshaws, autos and taxis will be permitted in the red zones.
He went on to say that all the religious places will be shut and strict rues rules should be followed in the containment zones and added that no extra charges were collected from the migrant workers and said that the Centre has bared 85 % of the expenses to shift the migrant workers to their native places.
