Andhra Pradesh stopped power supply to Telangana from Tuesday after TRS Government failed to clear pending power bills worth Rs 4,449 crore to AP Genco.
TDP Government alleges Telangana didn't clear the dues by allegedly linking it with the distribution of Assets between both the states.
On the other hand, Telangana Government complains AP has deliberately increased the dues and demanding much more than what should be paid. It, however, admits that Rs 3,149 crore have to be paid to AP Genco.
As per AP Reorganisation Act 2014, AP need to offer 53.89 percent of its Thermal Power production to Telangana. Whereas, Telangana has to offer 46.11 percent of Thermal Power to AP.
