Arvind Kejriwal took over as the Chief Minister of Delhi for yet another time. This time, an impressive programme attended by about a lakh people was organised at the Ramlila Maidan and Kejriwal and his colleagues took oath of office and secrecy. But, the BJP members barring MLA Vijender Gupta, skipped the oath-taking ceremony.
But, it was not exactly a pleasant experience for Vijender Gupta either. When he came, he could not find place to park his vehicle. Finally, he could park his vehicle with the help from the police. When he entered the venue, there was no place for him. No arrangements were made for his seating and there were no one to show him a seat. He had to somehow adjust as there was no protocol whatsoever. He alleged that the police and the volunteers were busy providing seats to the sons, wives and other relatives of the AAP leaders and had no time for an Opposition MLA.
Though PM Narender Modi was also invited to the programme, Modi was away in Varanasi on a pre-arranged itinerary. None of the BJP MPs and elected MLAs chose to attend the swearing in of Kejriwal.
