Shiv Sena might eventually form a government in Maharashtra with the NCP and the Congress as props. But in the process, the party is forced to make compromise after compromise. It now emerges that the Congress clearly told the Shiv Sena not to follow its Hindutwa agenda and not to talk about Ram Mandir and Kashmir. The Congress, it emerges, has clearly told the Shiv Sena that it will walk out of the coalition if the Shiv Sena goes back to its Hindutva agenda.
Though the Shiv Sena is putting on a brave front with its spokesperson Sanjay Nirupam saying that no one needs to teach secularism to the Shiv Sena and its MP Rajendra Gavit demanding Bharat Ratna to Savarkar, both the Congress and the NCP are said to have clearly told that it cannot pursue Hindutva agenda anymore. Even in case of naming the front, Shiv Sena wanted it to be called Maha Shiv Aghadi. But, the Congress and the NCP have put their foot down. They firmly told the Shiv Sena that the front will be called Maha Vias Aghadi.
On Friday, there would be a key meeting between the Congress, NCP and the Shiv Sena over the power sharing. It is possible that the Congress and the NCP may not allow the Shiv Sena to have CM post for all the five years. It will be forced to share CM post with both the parties. It could be 2:2:1 with both Shiv Sena and the NCP sharing power for two years each and the Congress one year.
