The Work From Home module became the new normal for the world since the emergence of the Covid pandemic. As the Omicron variant of Covid triggered new fear among the employees, the IT companies have extended the module as a precautionary measure.
Now the Work From Home situation in Telangana is said to be changing as the employers have asked the employees to consider coming to the office. By the month-end or the start of March, the employees are likely to come to the office to work from the establishments.
A few IT companies have reportedly sent the circulars saying the same to the employees and the facilities to enable the employees to work easily are being ramped up at the facilities. The sanitization exercise is likely to start soon.
As the offices were shut for longer periods, the establishments would be cleaned and sanitized so that they can be made available by the time, the employees start coming to the office for work.
The new development came a day after Telangana Health Director said that Covid third wave is over in the state and there is no need of continuing the Work From Home module anymore. He even urged the IT employers to get back to the normal module.
With the assurance coming from the state health director over the Covid scare, the IT employers are said to be focusing on getting into normal modules and calling the employees back to the offices.
If the media reports are to be believed, the employees might start coming to the offices in a phased manner. By the middle or end of next month, we can expect the employees working in the offices rather than working at their home.
If not for the Omicron scare, the IT firms and other offices were supposed to be calling the employees to the office a few months back. However, this was pushed ahead by the Omicron fear.
Information Technology is one of the key and vast sectors in Telangana and it generates good revenue to keep the state economy going. With the employees expected to come to the offices, it will boost the economy further.
