Congress Party had offered Deputy CM Post for Prof.Kodandaram considering the Reddy Community he belongs to if Mahakutami forms Government in Telangana. However, TJS Chief is very particular about the implementation of Common Minimum Programme (CMP) of the Grand Alliance.
Kodandaram decided to let go the Jangaon Ticket if Congress agrees to appoint him as the chairman of Common Minimum Programme. Congress President Rahul Gandhi agreed to the demand placed by TJS Supremo to prevent the revolt of BC Leader Ponnala Lakshmaiah. An exclusive CMP portfolio will be created if Grand Alliance attains the majority to fulfill the commitment offered to the Professor.
Congress High Command reached a conclusion that CM will be from a weaker section (BC or Dalit) and Deputy CM is going to be from Reddy Community. Deputy CM Post could be offered for TDP or A Leader (Revanth Reddy) who have Babu's support in abundance will be chosen for it.
