When AP CM Jagan announced in the Assembly that for the decentralisation of development the opposition party opposed the bill and said no other state has three capitals in the country. Many leaders supported the argument of the opposition.
Nowe Jharkhand came into the scene and taking the tally ahead the state might have four sub-capitals keeping Ranchi as the state capital.
Dumka region was declared as the sub-capital region during the regime of Babulal Marandi during 2000-2003. He was the first CM of the state after it got carved out of the Bihar. Beside Dumka, Medininagar, Chaibasa, and Giridih will be the nee sub-capitals.
"The proposal has already been prepared which is waiting for CM's endorsement following which, it will be sent for the cabinet approval," a close circle said.
The Jharkhand government is also stating the same reason of Jagan, to decentralise the development in the state rather than focusing on just a single region.
With this sub-capitals idea, the regions which were lagging behind will also be developed and the employment opportunities will also get increased.
