NTR emerges as India's Greatest Actor: CNN-IBN Poll

The recent poll held by CNN-IBN to know 'India's Greatest Actor Of All Time' on the occasion of celebrating 100 years of Indian Cinema has once again showed to the world what a great actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao was! Around 53 percent votes were polled for NTR out of the total votes.

The poll was conducted in five different categories (India's Greatest Actor of all time, India's Greatest Actress of all time, India's Greatest Film of all time, India's Greatest Director of all time and India's Greatest Music Composer of all time).

India's Greatest Actor Of All Time:

NTR - 53 percent votes; Kamal Haasan - 44 percent votes; Kannada Rajkumar - 1 percent votes; Mohanlal - 1 percent votes.

India's Greatest Actress Of All Time:

Sridevi - 39 percent votes; Madhuri Dixit - 16 percent votes; Savithri - 12 percent votes, Aishwarya Rai - 8 percent votes; Saroja Devi - 6 percent votes, Madhubala - 4 percent votes, Smitha Patil - 3 percent votes. Waheeda Rehman, Shabana Azmi, Nargis and Sharada received 2 percent votes each.

India's Greatest Film Of All Time:

Nayakan (Kamal's Nayakudu) - 42 percent votes; Sholay - 29 percent votes, Swayamvaram - 6 percent votes, Mughal-e-Azam - 5 percent votes, Pather Panchali - 5 percent votes.

India's Greatest Director Of All Time:

Mani Ratnam - 29 percent votes; K Balachander - 18 percent votes; Satyajit Ray - 14 percent votes; Shankar - 9 percent votes.

India's Greatest Music Composer Of All Time:

Ilayaraja - 49 percent votes; AR Rahman - 29 percent votes; SP Balasubramanyam - 7 percent votes, RD Burman - 4 percent votes.
