Former Bigboss contestant Nutan Naidu was arrested in the Udipi area of Karnataka on the charges of tonsuring the 20-year-old Dalit youth in Visakhapatnam.
According to some media reports, Police Commissioner Manish Kumar Sinha produced Nutan Naidu before a local court in Udipi and sought the custody of Nutan Naidu. He will be soon brought back to Vizag.
Earlier, the Vizag police arrested seven people including Nutan Naidu's wife Madhu Priya in connection with the much talked about tonsuring case of 20-year-old Dalit youth.
According to the preliminary investigation, the cops got hands on CCTV footage which had the visuals of a group allegedly torturing and tonsuring the head of a Dalit youth. The incident created quite a stir in the state.
The victim who is identified as K. Srikantha works as a house help in Nutan Naidu's residence. The family members alleged that he stole a mobile phone from the house and tortured the victim and tonsured his head.
