Dengue cases are on the rise in Hyderabad from past few months. Government hospitals like Gandhi, Fever are registering a steady flow of patients daily. But no strong measures have taken by the officials.
The authorities acted swiftly once they got to know that MLAâS daughter affected with the dengue.Recently, BJP leader and MLA of Uppal area NVSS Prabhakar's daughter got dengue fever and she was admitted in hospital.
Immediately after knowing the news Municipal officials in Uppal took up a special drive and cleaned all the areas in Ramanthapur locality, where the MLA resides. The works such as cleaning; bleaching were finished in war-footing basis and locals were shell shocked to see the speed at which the municipal department worked. The same commitment has to be shown in case of common people too.
Over 60 cases of dengue have been reported in the city hospitals following the first spell of rains. The district health authorities have also urged private hospitals to keep a close tab on dengue.
