In a major blunder, a primary school headmaster of a primary school in Odisha's Balasore district had declared holiday on Friday in account of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee's death.The school holds meeting to mourn former Prime Minister death and later shuts the school for the day

Some of the locals got distressed upon hearing the false news and complained to the district collector Sanatan Mallik, who took an immediate action by suspending head master Kamalakanta Das.A probe has been order into the incident.
In the enquiry Das said he learned about Vajpayee's passing away from a fellow teacher when he attends teacher's training programme in another school.Just few days before in June Jharkhand Education Minister Neera Yadav created controversy by paying homage to former president APJ Abdul Kalam by offering floral tributes when he was alive.
