Officials announce a scheme to give 2 kg tomatoes to people who take Covid vaccine!

In the wake of the current second wave of Covid-19 pushing the fresh infections at an alarming level, the government is ramping up the efforts to intensify the vaccination drive.

However, despite the efforts from the government, people are still expressing their fears to get vaccinated against the Coronavirus. To counter this, the officials are coming up with innovative programs to keep an end to the fears of people.

To encourage people to get vaccinated against the Covid pandemic, the officials in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district started a program to give two kilos of Tomatoes to everyone, who takes the vaccine.

The officials are hoping that they can attract more people towards the vaccination centers by giving Tomatoes to people, those who take their vaccine doses. By seeing their vaccine certificates, they can take Tomatoes home.

It has to be noted that, the Centre announced that, people above 18 will be vaccinated against the Coronavirus from the 1st of May. The decision was taken by the Centre as the cases are increasing at an alarming level.

On the other hand, India witnessed the biggest spike in fresh Coronavirus infections so far with 2,95,041, taking the total toll to 1,56,16,130. Including 2023 new casualties, total fatalities in the country zoomed to 1,82,553.
