One factor many people tend to miss in both Haryana and Madhya Pradesh elections is the number of rebels who have won the election. In Madhya Pradesh at least 15 BJP rebels have won. If one includes this number in the BJPâs tally, the number of seats it had won remains almost the same. These rebels worked against the official candidates. Also, the party has given seats to turncoats, who defected from other parties. All of them lost the elections. Thus, the party lost its loyal supporters and could not win the seats given to turncoats.
Similarly, in Haryana too, the six BJP rebels have won the election. These rebels are now ready to support the Khattar Government in the state. These six were denied party tickets and they contested as rebel candidates. They not just defeated the official BJP candidates, but also candidates of the other parties and proved their strength. Interestingly, six MLAs is what the BJP wants in Haryana. It has won 40 seats and needs just six more to form the Government there. Here too, the defectors fielded by the BJP have all lost. All but one sports persons that the BJP fielded have lost the election. BJP jat candidates Yogeshwar Dutt and Babita Phogat have both lost their elections. In fact, Babita stood third in her constituency.
