One more farmer union withdraws from the protests against Agricultural bills!
The farmers' agitation which has been going for the past few months against the controversial agricultural landed in an unwanted controversy with the violence that erupted on REpublic Day in the national capital. The protests were dubbed as R-day protests by the media.With the protests attracting the bad light, one after the other farmer unions are ending their protests against the agricultural bills, as a major setback for the agitations.
According to the media reports, Bhartiya Kisan Union (Lok Shakti) announced that it will not continue the protests against the bills and it is withdrawing itself from the agitation.It has to be noted that, earlier Rashtriya Mazdoor Kisan Sangathan and Bhartiya Kisan Union (Bhanu) have also announced that they are withdrawing from the ongoing protests at the Delhi border.
The farmer unions have condemned the protests on Republic Day and termed the violence as painful.It has been widely reported that the violence at the national capital Delhi on Republic Day resulted in disputes among the farmer unions, which in turn resulted in a fallout between them.
Looking at the violent protests, the farmers called for a tractor rally on Republic Day. However, the protests turned violent with several sad incidents. In some incidents, cops were reportedly attacked by the farmers.Earlier today, the Delhi cops served lookout notices on more than 20 leaders of the farmer unions after the violence. The cops asked them an explanation for barging into the barricades.
