One more Padayatra in AP

Update: 2013-09-10 10:22 GMT
Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is getting ready for a padayatra in Seemandhra region to extend his support to the ongoing United AP movement and for assuring to the people that Congress leaders wouldn't let them down. The tour will cover all the 13 districts in the Seemandhra region. A decision has been taken in this regard in the recent meeting with Andhra and Rayalseema ministers. Kiran also asked his cabinet colleagues to make arrangements for his long padayatra.

Already YS Sharmila and Chandrababu Naidu have been conducting bus yatras in the Seemandhra region. Will there be any takers for CM Kiran's padayatra? Are Seemandhra people in a position to allow a Congress leader to conduct such yatras at this point of time?

Despite the opposition from few senior ministers and expected threat from the agitators, CM Kiran has determined to go ahead with the tour to improve the prospects of his party. There were also reports of Kiran planning to launch a party of his own after the completion of his historic padayatra.
