Union minister Nirmala Sitharaman disclosed approved SEZ details of Telugu States in parliament today. In which she specified 3 approved SEZ details on an answer to one of the questions from MP's.
According to Sitharaman reply, Telangana will get one SEZ and Andhra will get two. In Telangana the approved SEZ allocated to Medak district. In Andhra Pradesh , prakasham and Chittoor each got one SEZ. In the same reply she said total 24 SEZ's are active and 36 are in inactive state in compare with Andhra's 18 active and 27 inactive SEZ's. Apart from these Union government approved Chennai-vishakapatnam industrial corridor. Minister tried to give assurance on its development at earliest.
