The heavy downpour which left a heavy toll on Hyderabad resulted in over three centuries-old heritage structure getting collapsed. Due to this, two nearby houses were damaged.

Going into detail, the 350-year-old  Quilashapur fort constructed by the 17th-century king of Quilashapur Sardar Papanna collapsed, due to the incessant rains in the state.

It is believed that the cracks in the historically significant structure deteriorated further with the heavy rains. Thankfully, no casualties were reported.

Sardar Papanna, a hero for the Quilashpur took over the throne of Hyderabad in 1708 by attacking the city of Warangal after the demise of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in 1708.
