Revanth's Sensational Claim: Paddy Cultivation In KCR's Errabelli Farmhouse
TPCC chief and firebrand politician Revanth Reddy has made a sensational claim that Telangana CM KCR who, is asking the farmers not to sow paddy, is cultivating paddy on a large scale in his own farm at Errabelli. Revanth Reddy has sought to know why there were tough rules for the ordinary farmers and a generous exemption for KCR himself.
To support his claim, Revanth Reddy has shown the photographs of the paddy cultivation in Erravelli far house. He said that if KCR can cultivate paddy, why can't the farmers cultivate. He asked the farmers to attack the TRS leaders who pressurise them not to go in for paddy cultivation. He said that the cases should be filed against the government if it did not purchase paddy at the minimum support price.
He said the farmers were in dire straits and were being forced to end their lives in distress due to the faulty policies of the government. He said the Government should procure the paddy and export it to countries with high demand for paddy. He said the Government is duty bound to come to the succour of the farmers.
Revanth Reddy further said that the State Government of Chhattisgarh, which is ruled by the Congress, is purchasing paddy at Rs 2540 per quintal. In addition, the government is also giving a bonus of Rs 9000 to the farmers who go in for millet cultivation during the summer crop season. He advised the State Government of Telangana to learn from the successful endeavours of the neighbouring Chhattisgarh.
