Pak awards Death Penalty to Indian Officer

Update: 2017-04-10 14:15 GMT
Pakistan Army chief Gen Gamar Javed Bajwa approved the death sentence awarded to former Indian Navy Officer Kulbhushan Jadhav.

Actually, Pakistan took Kulbhushan Jadhav into custody from Balochistan on March 3rd in 2016 after he entered into the territory from Iran. The neighboring Nation alleged the 46-Year-Old is a RAW Agent and leveled sabotage charges against him. The Field General Court Martial (FGCM) found Kulbhushan Jadhav guilty of all the charges leveled against him.

A statement issued by ISPR says, Kulbhushan Jadhav has confessed before the Magistrate that he is a Commander in the Indian Navy and a RAW Agent.

Indian Government kept denying that Kulbhushan Jadhav is a RAW Agent. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj clarified Jadhav has no links with Government after his premature retirement from Indian Navy. India alleges the trail was held in a secret manner and a harsh punishment was pronounced inspite of lacking any concrete evidence to prove the charges.
