Pakistan ex-defence minister says Laden was their 'guest'

India has been accusing Pakistan of an epicentre of terrorism and sheltering the most wanted terrorists in the world. But many times Pak denied the allegations of India.
 
Now, in a stunning revelation the former Pakistan defence minister Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar has said that country's top civilian and military leadership knew of the al-Qaeda chief's Osama Bin Lden's presence in Pakistan. Mukhtar told that the then president Asif Ali Zardari, then army chief Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and other top officials knew that bin Laden was in Pakistan.
 
Laden the mastermind behind  the 9/11 attacks, lived in Abbottabad, a small military town less than a 100 km from Pakistan's capital Islamabad for over five years prior to his death.  Laden  was gunned down in an operation by US commandos on the night of 01 May 2011.Its known that Pakistan government has maintained it did not know of Laden's presence on its soil until the US raid.
