Pakistan said Thursday that Indian shelling from Jammu and Kashmir killed a Pakistani soldier.
The Pakistani military identified the soldier as Havildar Mohyuddin, Geo News reported.
The army's Inter-Services Public Relations said the shelling took place in the Tatta Pani sector on the Line of Control (LoC), which divides Kashmir between India and Pakistan.
Radio Pakistan earlier said that the shelling took place Thursday.
In Islamabad, Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar reiterated the demand for a third party enquiry into ceasefire violations on the winding LoC.
