India-Pakistan T20 Match venue changed

Update: 2016-03-09 12:28 GMT
International Cricket Counsel (ICC) on Wednesday shifted the India-Pakistan T20 Match venue from Dharamsala to Kolkata following security concerns.

ICC CEO Dave Richardson declared the much-awaited T20 clash between arch rivals will happen on the same date and time at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. He pointed out Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh's warning on threats as the major reason behind shifting the venue.

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) demanded ICC to change the venue of India-Pakistan match from Dharamsala to either Kolkata or Mohali. It even kept the departure of its Team on hold due to security issues.

Today's announcement by ICC will clear all the hurdles for Pakistan Team's arrival to India for playing World T20 tourney.
