Fresh infections in connection with the ongoing pandemic continue to mount up day by day in Andhra Pradesh as the state reported near 10,000 cases in the past 24 hours.
Andhra Pradesh reported 9999 new infections, which take the number of total infections in the state to 5,47,686. However, the fresh cases decreased in the past 24 hours.
The total fatalities in connection with the ongoing pandemic in the state zoomed to 4779, as 77 patients breathed their last battling the respiratory disease.
While the fresh cases decreased, the state witnessed a growth in the virus recoveries.11,069 patients were declared cured in the last 24 hours and 4,46,716 patients have been recovered so far. The state has 96191 active cases.
East Godavari reported the highest number of fresh cases with 1499, followed by West Godavari(1081), Chittor(1040), Guntur(920), Prakasham(901), and Nellore(778).
