Republic Day Parade Arrangements: 150 Soldiers Come In Contact With Covid-19!

The ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, which left a heavy toll on almost everything around us over the past one year has impacted, one of the most prominent parades in the country.

According to the reports, out of the soldiers who reached the national capital Delhi for the Republic Day parade, 150 soldiers are said to have come in contact with the Coronavirus.

The fresh infections are detected as part of the Covid-19 tests conducted for the soldiers who came to Delhi to take part in various parades which will be held on the 26th of January, for Republic Day.

The infected soldiers were immediately rushed to the Quarantine facility for further treatment. The authorities have already started contact tracing of people who might have come in contact with them.

The sudden development sent shocking waves as the fresh infections were detected when the rehearsals were being carried out as part of the mock parade.

The authorities have made arrangements for the Republic Day Parade abiding by the Covid-19 protocols. Limited and less number of Soldiers were invited for the rehearsals.

The fresh development raised doubts on whether the Republic Day Parade will be held or not. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was invited as the chief guest for the Republic Day parade.
