Pandemic in India might have originated from Middle East and Europe

While everyone is thinking that the ongoing pandemic came to India a study conducted by the  Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru opined that the dreaded virus in India might have originated from Europe, the Middle East, Oceania, and South Asia

For the observation, the researchers have analyzed 294 Indian viral genomes and came to an assessment.

The IISc team that comprises Kumar Somasundaram, Mainak Mondal, and Ankita Lawarde conducted the study intending to determine the diversity of the genetics among Indian SARS-CoV-2.

The team maintained that the potential origin of the virus is noted from Europe, the Middle East, Oceania, and South Asia regions. This finding says that the dreaded virus is spread through most traveled countries.

The team went on to say that, the continuous lockout measures and social distancing norms following effectively resulted in the low infection rate in India and added that variation in the viral strains is also responsible for the same
