Level 1: Verbal
Verbal Harassment, Drunken Unruliness and Rude Gestures
Punishment: 3 Months Ban
Level 2: Physical
Abusive Behaviour such as Inappropriate Touching, Pushing, Hitting and Kicking
Punishment: 6 Months Ban
Level 3: Life Threatening
Assaulting & Damaging Air-Craft Systems
Punishment: 2 Years or More, or Life Ban
The Pilot-in-Command has to file the complaint of Unruly Behaviour. A Committee formed by the Airline will probe these complaints. Retired District & Sessions Judge will be the chairman of this panel.
Two-Stage Process for determining Offences: i) Passengers will be permitted to present their side of the episode. ii) Passengers can also bring fellow Passengers on that flight to speak for them.
What if Cabin Crew misbehaves with the Passengers? Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju says Passengers are free to complain at 'Air Sewa' web portal if they experience inappropriate behaviour from Cabin Crew.
It's not mandatory for Airlines to ban those Individuals in 'No-Fly List', which means its 'optional'. Whereas, Those posing a threat to national security willn't be permitted to travel in domestic airlines.
