Pawan-Charan films stalled not due to Agitations: Chiru

Union Tourism Minister Chiranjeevi appealed to the AICC President Sonia Gandhi to make Hyderabad a Union Territory to do justice to the Seemandhra region. "I am a Samaikyavadi. If Hyderabad was made a Union Territory, agitations in Seemandhra will slow down as that would get rid of the insecurity feelings among them," he said.

When asked about his reaction on agitators threatening to stall the releases of Pawan Kalyan, Ram Chatran and NTR, Chiru opined cinema and politics are different and the people too will see them that way. He went on to say there will be a lot of reasons behind the postponement of releases and one needn't think those films got delayed just because of few people or threat calls.

Although Chiru sees no possibility of Congress high command holding back its decision on July 30th, he is hopeful that Centre would come up with some corrections and clarification on the issues like Status of Hyderabad, Water Sharing, Revenue, Power and others. He is hopeful that Hyderabad gets Union Territory status as 80 percent of the people will be happy with that decision.
