Jana Sena Party began accepting applications from MLA & MP Ticket Aspirants even before setting up party committees. A Screening Committee was established to shortlist the best candidates. The panel comprises of Madasu Gangadharam, Araham Khan, Hariprasad, Mahendar Reddy and Siva Shankar.
Screening Committee will figure out which of the Aspirants have the four qualities suggested by Pawan Kalyan. Individual Strength of the Candidates, Fighting Spirit, Ability To Win and Commitment on People's Issues will be offered ample importance while identifying the candidates. This exercise will be conducted in each and every constituency in Andhra Pradesh. Upon obtaining the report of best candidates from the Screening Committee, Jana Sena will conduct a survey in all the constituencies and those who perform well in it will be announced as party candidate. Those who faced rejection would have the opportunity to get any of the party posts.
In 2009 Polls, PRP paid the price by offering 100 seats to Backward Classes. And now, Pawan Kalyan is keen to offer 60 percent of the seats to newcomers. Will this strategy yield good results?
