People of Thundurru village near Bhimavaram have been protesting against Aqua Food Park since two years. Pawan Kalyan extended support to them when they brought the issue to his notice. He even convened a press conference to appeal State Government to shift the Aqua Food Park to another location as its gonna pollute the surroundings. 'Don't make it another Nadigram. Rivers get polluted by the wastes from such Factories. I have no clue why Government didn't respond properly to the protests of the villagers,' he wondered.
AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, however, is adamant on setting up the factory at Thundurru itself. But, An assurance was given by the Government to make the area no-pollution zone.
Now, Pawan Kalyan has sent partymen to Thundurru to examine the situation at the ground level. He would plan his visit to West Godavari depending on the feedback from the party activists. Most likely, Jana Sena Chief will be meeting villagers of Thundurru by November end or in the first half of December.
