Undavalli Farmers on Sunday met Pawan Kalyan to complain about the forceful land acquisition allegedly planned by the TDP Government. Jana Sena Chief assured Farmers that they needn't be scared of the threats issued by the Government. 'I am by your side. If Governments want to make Amaravati another Basheer Bagh, I am ready to face the bullets fired by the cops. There is no question of accepting forcible land acquisition,' he asserted.
Pawan Kalyan reiterated no Government have the right to acquire the lands against the wishes of the farmers. He pointed out Farmers who offered their lands for Vizag Steel Plant are yet to receive compensation. 'Grama Sabhas should be conducted and lands can be acquired with the acceptance of Farmers,' suggests the Actor-turned-Politician.
Jana Sena Chief claims he is against the practice of few individuals having authority over hundreds of acres of land. He added, 'Government must not acquire lands beyond the requirement. Compensation for Assigned Lands should be as per AP Reorganisation Act 2013'.
